It's seems that my addiction to smokes and cokes is turning out to be a pain to break. A BIG PAIN and you now where. Tomorrow I will try a new plan that I will post on tomorrow. Chris <-- Fingers Crossed. I am also looking into a way to add a little more income to the farm. I have ,and will continue to be, working on setting up a ETSY account. If you have never heard of it please take a look. A good way for any homestead or anyone else really to sell some of our hand made products. Some of what you will find there : Jams and jellies, pickles and bread and cookies. Alot of homemade products. It's all got me thinking of ways to supplement our income here on the farm with our extra canned goods and things that could be made right here. Be sure to take a look. Maybe you will find a new outlet to sell some of your products and increase you $$$ flow.

do you have a local Farmers Market? Mike and I have such a good time selling eggs at ours, I just love the environment, the people that we meet, and our eggs sell FAST at 3.50 per dozen. We can take 15 dozen and be sold out in 30 minutes.(We have Floridian's up here in the summer, don't know if you have the tourists or not). Just wondered if you had tried to sell your homemade goodies locally.
Joanna, we do have a farmers market that is only open during the summer months. Our Flea Market may be an option too. Just want to be able to do most of it from home. I love it here. lol
Thanks
Chris
Hope the new plan works for you...and the ETSY site looks like a very good site!
Thanks for sharing that!
Jim, thank you friend. Let me get YOU a cup of coffee now. hehe!!
Chris
I can't wait to hear about the new plan!! Do you have your ETSY store up yet? How do we find it? I think it's a great idea! I'm always looking for ways to supplement money without having to leave home. (I just haven't found anything yet!:-)) Gen
Gen, the plan didn't work out. sorry. Still looking into Etsy and getting a store set up. When I get things going I will provide a link. I think it's great for people like me and you, we get to stay home. hehe!! Hope you find something to sell and make ya some big bucks.
Thank you so much for all your comments, you are a faithful reader and commentor. Thank you,
Chris
I think you are doing well, at least on the cokes, you are at less than 50% of your old number.
Thanks Christy, I'm trying. It's really been hard. Thanks,
Chris
Thank you! I have to say that you are now the only blog I comment on faithfully. (Ron was the other.)I have just enjoyed them both fully. You (guys) are great writers and seem like great people, so your blog(s) are a joy to read! (I just lurk at other people's and comment now and then!):-)
Really nice site and you have a beautiful place.
Canada has new laws or ordinances about selling from small farms. I think it is mostly for chickens in that a person can only have 300 without special permits and licenses.
I can't even imagine it not getting the the USA.
Looks like an interesting site. I plan to check in every once inawhile and catch up when I get some time. Just wanted to add, about quitting smoking. Nicoderm (the patch) worked real well for me. You still need a desire to quit, but it does sure help with the craving. I started the whole routine right from start to finish and it paid of for me. I used to smoke 1.5 to 2 packs a day(25 cig packs, and usually the strong ones, players filter).
Frugal, thanks for stopping by. The patch was great for me last year but I started back after 3 months. That's my fault not the pathces. Hope you find something here of interest and come back often. Gonna check your site too, anything Frugal catches my eye.
Thanks,
Chris
Passerby, thanks for the comment and thanks for stopping by. I'll try to stay under 300 chickens. I hope I never have that many. lol
Thanks,
Chris
