Good Link and Idea for Hydro Power

The set up pictured here is all made from scratch. I have a pond with a fair amount of water coming through the over flow. Would love to capture the power of the water. Ducks in the Pool

I needed to find some way to get the baby ducks in the water and keep them safe at the same time. They where hatched inside the fenced garden, to keep out the dog and other critters. I remembered we had a plastic turtle sand box, if you have small kids you probably have one too, and I thought that would make them a great little pond. Sure enough, they love it. 14 baby ducks and all doing well. They are 2 days old today.

Baby Ducks Arrive !!!!

Baby ducks hatched today. This is their momma "Shiver" I belive is what the kids named her. I didn't want to bother her too much she is pretty protective over her chicks. I think their were 14 eggs in the box. We are very happy to have this addition to the farm. We love babys of any kind.

On the Pond

We cleaned the raft up a little today and took it out on the pond. Here is me and Katie Bug, she is learning how to paddle. Savannah and her friend Shelly enjoying a lazy day floating around. Paid about $25.00 for the raft 2 or 3 years ago and haven't taken very good care of it either. A little soap and water and it was as good as new.
