Finally, New Baby Goats !!!!

Finally Daisy our Boer Doe had 2 kids this morning. She was bred to our Pygmy Buck Chief so these are Boer/Pygmy cross. These are the first to be bred and birthed here on the farm. I am more than a little proud as I'm sure you can tell. 1 boy and 1 girl, and she could have another. She is still pretty big and looks as if she may have another kid in there somewhere. Have to wait and see. Well, gotta get back down to the kids. Just wanted to post the GREAT NEWS and a few pictures, there will be many, many more to come.

Hurray!!! Congratulations on your new goats--they look wonderful. Seems to me that you can also just tell from the picture how much your animals love you if you can get that close to the kids with the mother right there. What a great way to end the year--love the pictures!

Christy, You got that right, nothing at all. Thanks.

Marie, Thanks, we are so proud. The goats are like family pets for us, they never mind us being around. They love to be with people and are very gentle. This years has went out with a bang for us.

Joanna, Yep, that's me. Hard to hide my pride I guess. Thanks

Throwback, knit them sweaters to keep them warm?? Now come on. I was thinking of just bringing them in the house. LOL Thanks, it's been a long wait but well worth it.

Shiloh, thanks, we sorta think so too. hehe!!

Jim, Moma done great. We have had a celebration all day long on the farm.

MM, "Ain't farm life grand" If only others knew what they were missing. This would make farmers out of all of them I think.

Thank you all for sharing in our joy. The kids are doing just fine and I will be posting some more pictures tomorrow. I'm gald the whole thing came off with no problems and I was't even there to see it. Guess some things work better when ya stay out of the way.

Thank you all a bunch,

Chris

Congratulations!
I don't know if I'm going to get any baby goats this year or not. I lost my buck last fall and was not able to replace him until about two weeks ago, so I get babies it wont be until late May at the earliest.

Seldom Seen Acres, Thank you and I hope your buck works for you soon. These are our first to be bred and born here on the farm, we are very excited. They are soooo cute and cuddly. Thanks for coming by and I hope you come back soon.

Thanks again,

Chris

Team Hall, thanks so much for that. That was a good day for me and all of us I guess. Taking one step at a time is all I know to do. Wish you could be here to see the kids. Thank you my dear friend.
