Good purchase! That will enable you to store food even if the power grid goes down. I've canned lots of deer meat in mine.
Congratulations - you will love it! Stocked pantry here we come.
Very nice. I am looking to get my very first canner. Any suggestions

Tracy, thanks we look forward to using this baby a lot. Never tried canning meat but that may be in the futre.
Nita, thanks, making room in the pantry for more canned goods.
Rook, this is also my first canner (can't belive that myself ) and this one just fits the bill for us. Great price, we also had a $25.00 coupon from amazon with brought the price down to less than $60.00 shipping and all. I have the amazon add on the top of the blog. Be sure to chech it out. This thing is gonna be great.

That canner looks huge, but then again, so does your garden, so it will be a good combination. It will be interesting to see if it turns out to be as easy using it as your pickle canning was!
Oh, now the fun begins!! That's a nice double stack canner! I've got two and they let me can so much more at one time! It's great!! Woo-Hoo!!! Gen--IL Homesteader
Woo-Hoo is right, canning green beans right now. Marie, not as easy as the pickles but I got my eye on the prize.
I'll post pics tonight. I love this canner, so far, so good.

Great choice of canner! (We happen to have the exact same one :)). We love ours too. With pressure canning, there is so much more you can store. Beans, pumpkin, turkey, etc. Have fun!
