Sourdough Bread is in the oven

Got my sourdough bread in the oven and man it smells sooooo goooooood. I'll get ya some pics just as soon as it comes out. Not been much going on here on the farm the last few days so not much to post about. Just been cold and been taking care of all the animals. Having to carry water several times a day so they will always have fresh water to drink. Goat kids are growing like crazy, 3 weeks old now. Lou Lou has still not had her kids yet. She is getting a lot bigger though and has a huge milk sack. Maybe soon. I'll get you some pictures of this bread tomorrow and let you know how it tastes. If it's as good as it smells I better be quick with the camera, it'll go fast. Talk to you all soon.

Let me know if it is actually sour. I've tried to make sourdough a few times and while it was good bread, it has never really been sour. My husband likes a really sour bread.

There's nothing like fresh bread--the sourdough type is something I haven't tried yet, but there is always a first time...looking forward to pictures of your results!

Mmmmmm...Isn't homemade bread baking one of the best smells in the world?(Along with strawberry jam cooking, lilacs, and lily-of-the-valley. Yes, I'm ready for spring!) Have an enjoyable day!

Now you could have gone all day without talking about that fresh bread! Now my taste buds are all worked up again!

I guess I'm gonna have to add some more honey to the preps...cause fresh bread just screams for butter and honey!

Hee haw on the bread! It's hard to beat the smell!

Not to stir the pot, but how are they smoking/cokes thing going? You said to hold you accountable...

Yummm and let us know about the new babies.

I need to start baking again. It just seems like I never have time for anything real, just treading water.

Marie, You would love this bread. Starter is in the fridge too..ready to go again.

Gen, Now you're making me hungry..lol Oh yea, you have a preppers network in your state now. Stop by and tell 'em hello.

Hermit Jim, I used honey in place of sugar just for you my friend.

Warren, the bread is great, you should try it man. The smokes are getting less and less by the day now, cokes too. Seeing the numbers everyday made me feel like I was failing. gonna post new results next week. Thanks for the reminder for all of us.
